I spend more time, I’d say, on my Summer Drool mixtapes than any other — and more time than necessary indeed. But I’m usually quite happy with how they turn out. That said, IV shouldn’t disappoint. As expected, tucked between the Russell and Maus jams are hopefully a few songs you haven’t heard before.
This is for the heat of the night. Enjoy your patios, sweet teas, pools, little live boyequins.

It was my good friend Tobin’s birthday this past week and I made her a mixtape called HEAT|BEATS. It was made in the wee hours of the morning with the singular attempt of compiling my favorite BANGERS. In that it succeeds. I hope you enjoy it.

MP3: Dirty Beaches – Lord Knows Best
For official, equally Lynchian video…
Saint Etienne reissues have slowly been surfacing over the last few years and I’ve definitely been followin’ the train. While their albums are good and all, this collection of As and Bs is as lovely as it is consistent — that is, they’re all bangers (an argument that can’t really be made for the band’s monstrously-long, but still-way-fun full-lengths). I smell a summer mixtape! DOWNLOAD
